The Bible is an incredible book of history and facts that proves that there is a God that created all things. Most important of all, the Bible is the Word of God. It contains and at the same time points to Jesus Christ. This is the prime reason why followers of Jesus should study the Bible. We hear Jesus say this in his own words.
"You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is these that bear witness of Me; and you are unwilling to come to Me, that you may have life." (John 5:39,40).

This was Jesus' view of the scriptures, that they "bear witness of me" The truth is the bear witness of Jesus then they are to be read, studied, poured over. In them they speak on every page of Jesus.
