One of the big themes in Jonah is the heart of God. We find this theme weaving through the four chapters growing as it does so on the heart of Jonah. The theme of God's heart is a theme that not only is found in this book but on every page of the Bible its self. Here is the wonderful heart plan of God that is an eternal plan to pour out compassion upon the peoples of the world. We see this majestically in Jonah and the way it unfolds is a wonder to behold.
